So, I know my blog was down for a few days. I changed my vps servers around. Thus meant my sites had to be transferred, changing the databases over caused some major issues. The issues have been fixed. This means my blog works again and hopefully means I will actually post more regularly. (maybe )

I often think, in a world that values money, power, publicity, exclusivity, and authority, if the real strength of an individual is in the love they have to give. And, if the real strength of humanity is the compassion it holds?

We don't seem to value the love emanating from others near so much as we value those with power and wealth. And yet, would not humankind disappear without love and care for one another?

I wonder if we have things backwards. The humble, meek, comfortable, pure soles... the people who may quietly go about the day caring, serving, and loving, may be the very people who are holding humankind together.

I often think the millions of daily acts of care and compassion from mothers, fathers, grandparents, friends, neighbors, and even strangers all over the world, are more important than most of what we see on the news or read in the papers.

We seem to forget the value of the simple tasks, and moments of care that enable life to exist.

Could it be that the love from just one person is enough to bring hope to a life?
Could it be that someone, just knowing they are loved, will have the strength to carry on?
Could it be that the very essence that gives beauty to our existence is love?
I believe it is so.

I normally never read forwarded emails, but I was extremely board at work today so I decided to read one.
To my surprise, this email was really inspirational and fitting to what I normally write about. So, I am going to share it.

"One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.

Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.

Post delays and addiction

So, I know there has been a lot of post delays. This has caused personal strife with my self that I need to get more things done in the little time I have. That being said, I should explain whats been keeping my time so busy.
I have work, health issues, life, and now WoW. Yes, >.> I did just say WoW, now I know what you must be thinking "oh noes he is a gamer" No, actually I have more or less been recently converted to being a "gamer". I was pretty much anti gamer before I started playing World of Warcraft. Somehow this one game has taken over my life. I started playing it while I was in the hospital and now I am addicted.
It's comparable to crack, its that bad.
Anyways, I just wanted to post about why I have not posted... Uhm, you get the point.

Family and Friends

Tomorrow, most of us in the United States will celebrate Thanksgiving. A day of football, pumpkin pies, family, and loved ones.

While we gather to share the day and reflect on our good fortune, we are gratefully reminded of the bounty of our country and the blessings most of us enjoy.

While we appreciate all that we have, may we hold in our hearts the reality that most of the world is not so fortunate; while we eat our turkey and stuffing, forty thousand children under the age of five will starve by the end of the day.

We can simultaneously hold gratitude for all that we have with the remembrance of those who are in need of our help and care.

It is only by acknowledging our world family, by expanding our consciousness to include all of humankind, and by remembering those less fortunate that we can bring together all that is necessary to feed the world!
